Coneflower, Purple
Genus: Rudbeckia.
Species: Rudbeckia purpurea.
A little clump was given to my by a workmate back in 1998 and I now have patches of it in different areas of the yard. The butterflies absolutely LOVE it ! In the fall the goldfinches are all over it eating the seed.
