Unknown variety but most fuchsias seem to like full sun or partial shade.
Garden care: To encourage growth, pinch out the growing tips of young plants after the sixth or seventh pair of leaves. During the growing season water regularly, applying a balanced liquid fertiliser each month. Cut back to the permanent framework in early spring.
You can encourage potted fuchsias back into growth by watering compost sparingly. As the weather warms, new shoots will develop at the base of old stems. Cut the woody growth back hard to the point where the shoots are forming. Once the shoots have two or three pairs of leaves, pinch out their tips to encourage side shoots to develop. (GW Feb 2013).
