Genus: Eupatorium.
Species: Eupatorium perfoliatum.
Native wildflower that likes wet conditions. One just appeared in one of my flowerbeds about 5 years ago and it's huge now. Many insects love the flowers as they do with most Eupatoriums. This flower is closely related to Joe-pye Weed and White Snakeroot, which also grow in my gardens and come up different places in the yard.
