Miterwort, Bishop's Cap
Species: Mitella diphylla.
Perennial native that loves moist woods. It often grows in large colonies. The flower has very unusual fern-like petals making it look extremely delicate, but it often goes unnoticed because they're so small. To really appreciate this flower you should look at it under hand lens or through macro photos. This is another favorite. There are several colonies of it growing in our woods and in my yard.
