Diohio's Garden
Daisy, Ox-eye, Common Daisy
Genus: Chrysanthemum.
Species: Chrysanthemum leucanthemum.
Wildflower, European import. Ox-eye Daisy contains pyrethrum, a chemical that repels insects and is used in organic pesticides. It is found in the side field and comes up all over my yard and in my flower beds. Many people consider it invasive and since it's non-native, they pull it for a weed.
