Green_finger's Garden
Phlox douglasii ‘White Admiral’
This is a very compact variety, with a good display of starry white flowers, each with a tiny yellow eye. Do not prune in fall or spring, but clip lightly immediately after blooming if plants become straggly. Wonderful in the sunny rock garden, for edging, or in alpine troughs and other containers. Clumps may be ripped apart and divided in early fall or right after blooming, after 3 to 4 years. Requires good drainage. Plants sometimes produce the occasional red flower or half white/half red.
