Green_finger's Garden

Cornus alba Elegantissima

I think I have planted this in every garden I've had, I like shrubs to provide a framework & are also useful for the scramblers. The dogwoods I particularly like as they are decorative over winter but all cut down in March so never get too big.

This deciduous shrub has pretty, grey-green leaves with white margins and produces small, creamy-white flowers in May and June. But it's really grown for the vivid red stems that are revealed when the leaves fall.
