Simbad's Garden

Bupleureum Longifolium

Grown this year from seed sent to me by Angie on gardeners world site.
From open woods and pastures of Central Europe, shrubby perennial with long stalked spatulate lower leaves and stem clasping heart shaped upper leaves, in summer long stalked heads of "flowers" , tiny umbels of yellow flowers surrounded by coppery petal like bracts, giving a long lasting display, 5ft tall, good for flower arrangements.
Lots of plants edge of wood and near rhus top of hill border .
