Species: Camellia sasanqua.
Evergreen Shrub which has small green leaves offering a wide range of flower types and colors; several are fragrant. Needs full sun to partial shade.

A lot of plants that can take full sun elsewhere will burn up in the desert. So I have learned to take full sun directions with a grain of salt here in Arizona. In March of 2007 I planted my Camellias in partial shade where they seem to be doing well.
