Pyracantha
Genus: Pyracantha.
Species: Pyracantha angustifolia.
I supposedly have 'Golden Charmer' although berries look a darker orange than in pictures, so I wonder about mislabelling. I'd probably buy a red berried cultivar another time just because birds are supposed to like them more. Bought in 2006 as a spiky gap-filler in my wall plants after finding an intruder in my garden. I probably need more of them, although since pyracantha's pretty abundant in my locality I'm trying a few cuttings dotted about.
I also have a self-seeded pyracantha which is growing healthily but this has not flowered yet after a good 3 years.
Prune just after flowering - don't prune later as you may lose next year's flowers.
