Lizard's Tail, Water Dragon
Species: Saururus cernuus.
This is a native wildflower that I purchased at Lowe's on 5-06-08 for $6.00. I transplanted it into a larger pot and put it in the back frog pool. It has not bloomed but the foliage is nice and full. Plant can get to 36" tall and blooms from June thru fall frost. It's biennial from seed. It likes alkaline soil (add lime to the pot).
Plant rhizone no more than 6" deep IN WATER. Pollen may cause an allergic reaction. PART SHADE.
