Elleme's Garden
Doronicum orientale
Genus: Doronicum.
Species: Doronicum orientale.
Given by my mother in 2006. Unfortunately not many of the plants from my parent's garden tend to do well here. I don't know whether it's because they have much greener fingers, are more trigger-happy with pest control or whether it's because they are in a seaside location on free-draining soil and I'm on London clay. Either way, the doronicum is still around, but has been rather lacklustre and I have a sneaking suspicion it's not going to last much longer. It doesn't help that this is snail central HQ, of course - my garden survivors are generally snailproof.
