Genus: Camellia.
Species: Camellia japonica.
Pinkish red double flowered cultivar - planted by previous house owner some time in the past so I don't know what it is. Growing against west-facing house wall in unimproved heavy clay - since the leaves are not chlorotic I pretty much leave it to its own devices.
