Genus: Mirabilis.
Species: Mirabilis jalapa.
The tuberous roots survive the winter outside in my garden, but come into leaf so late they don't really earn their keep very well. So this year I will be digging up both tubers to get them off to an earlier start next year in the greenhouse.
