Genus: Verbena.
Species: Verbena bonariensis.
Arrived unannounced in my front garden and has now spread everywhere. I love the way it grows through other plants and I have now transplanted some into the back garden. Seems to thrive in the heavy clay soil and doesn't mind getting its feet wet!
