Aquilegia 'Crimson Star'...

Is that what it's called ? I've got it and grown more from seed this year and they have come up true to colour. Some of the other McKana Hybrid ones have come up different from the originals in all sorts of pastel shades. But I enjoy the lucky dip aspect of it and they are all very attractive.

Hi Inverglen.....Thats great that they have come true from seed....I believe Aquilegias to be a bit promiscuous, but should be ok if kept apart....This is a nice one, isn't it?...Mine have really taken a battering with the torrential rain we have been having... i also enjoy the lucky dip aspect...:>)

On another page one of the GOY members described aquilegias as the slappers of the plant world. I think I prefer your wording.
