Where abouts did you stay Annella? We went to a town called Kalamki. Can't wait to go back to be honest

The first time was years ago with my ex, we stayed on the outskirts of Laganas (was much quieter then) and last time a small place called Tragaki which was lovely :-))

Kalamki is the next town to Laganas and such a great walk along the beach. Had all the small fish swim between your feet when you walked in the edge of the water. It was such a lovely feeling!!

We hired a jeep and went to Kalamki, all of the Island is very pretty. Did you go to the shipwreck?
30 Jul, 2010
We also hired a jeep to go round the island which we done in a few hours. Didn't do the shipwreck as we both get seasick and was advised not to do it. We drove to the location and viewed from the top where they have a viewing box. Not the same but still nice to see it!

Really?? I haven't decided where to put it yet as had a clear out today of annuals. Might put it over the back near the Saponaria Officinalis (mystery plant). She should stay away from it then

yes amazing how many plants are toxic steve, like this one, dont breath it in can have bad effects steve, dont surpose everyone does get effected but best to be safe, even our foxgloves are toxic to, if you put in search engine poisionous garden plants, you can see a list, i couldnt believe how many when i first looked, even to our pets to, luckery iv been ok and the cats up to know,

Agree with you Sand. It is amazing how toxic some are. Foxgloves (digitalis) are one of the worse. Hubby bought some plants a couple of years ago and planted at the top of the garden. He told me they were flowers he remembered in gardens as a child. I nearly had a fit when I realised what they were. Out they came, and into the rubbish they went. My favourite,Daffodils, are another to be wary of, but not so poinonous as Digitalis. Most folks favourite Christmas plants,Poinsettias, are another to be wary of, especially if they bleed. If you touch the sap, wash your hands immediately.

also most lilies are toxic im afraid steve, i was warned about my stargazer`s which i love but very toxic to our cats, can make very poorly or even kill them ;o((, im watching casper now, but have mine in raised border which he doesnt go, he tends to go to pond area fora nosey lol, but watch your cats to steve

ok thanks ladies!! Think the digitalis i've got in front of the shed might be going somewhere else then!! They've finished flowering now but better to be safe then sorry
4 Aug, 2010
your right steve, i may put my lilies back in pots next year away from casper,
4 Aug, 2010
Just done a search on the affected plants and was surprised by a few. Think the digi's and delphs will be going down the back well out of the way. On a positive note at least i can put 2 of my hollyhocks in place. Well thats the plan, might not look good there. Guess we'll see at the weekend! lol
5 Aug, 2010
yes i was surprised on whats poisonous to steve, but if we move things about out of reach must help, post a pic of hollyhocks when in ok ;o)
