i grew these years ago they had great flowers but small bitter fruit...hope yours are better...

These are meant to be quite small fruited too, will let you know how they taste. I picked and cooked a single dwarf French bean this morning (the first of the year) and will have more for dinner. It was plump, delicious and very sweet - it's so nice when the home grown things really live up to expectation and are soooo much better than you get in the shops.

its the first time in years we have grown our own. so far we have oicked tomatoes cabbage broccoli onions lettuce and loads of fruit...i cant get over how nice it all tastes...

Blimey, that's early. I have purple sprouting broccoli which is nowhere near ready and the toms are definitely too green :o) Had a few bits of salad and some kale though, the rest will come all at once, I'm sure.

i've just been picking the leaves of the p.s.broccoli...great tase...
our tomatoes were planted early in heat to get a head start at the markets...
