This plant's leaves turn fiery red in the autumn.

Yes, it is a spreading plant and it has pink flowers - there's one in the photo, probably the final one for the year!. I like it, too. It is't one of the invasive ones of the family.
I just checked it name - Persicaria affinis 'Superba'.

Have you tried growing it under trees Spritz ?

No - I think it might be OK in partial shade, but not in full shade. It gets some dappled light where it is, and sun in the morning.
