I bought two from ebay last year but did not realise how tall they were -when they arrived they were both 6 foot.Couldn't find anywhere to put them so wrapped them up with bubble wrap and fleece etc over the winter, even putting more on when it was frosty, but when we saw what they were like afterwards I thought they were dead-the leaves hung in brown strips!
Anyway I cut off the dead bits and they were out in the sun and got watered even though I thought they were dead and after ages we got shoots and then huge leaves and somehow they had both survived.
Probably because of the thick layer of bubblewrap around the pot.
Needless to say they may have to spend the next winter indoors-possibly with my daughter!
