Holboellia latifolia - 2014

Holboellia latifolia - 2014 (Holboellia latifolia)

Twining evergreen climber for sun or part shade, reaching fifteen feet. Supposedly not too hardy, I wrapped it in fleece for its first few winters, and it always looked miserable when I uncovered it in the spring. Now it takes its chance unprotected, although I cover the roots with a dry mulch in late autumn. Flowering fairly early, the flowers may get caught by frosts, but this year it's absolutely covered in flower. If you have two - a male and a female - the latter with carry sausage-shaped fruits in the autumn.

Didn't see it before. I like vertical gardening so I'll see if I can get any seed from it overhere.
