Hi Girls, I only set this island bed up in May/June ish. Do you remember the dreaded tree stump Amy, not that long ago. I grew the lupins and delphiniums from seed in the Autumn or Spring, so that's why they're only just flowering now. I will remember to cut things down for the second flush though, for the future.

Wow that looks lovely Dawn, so lush, everything heres wilting through lack of rain, and too big an area to water everything.
See the 'Black Knights' flowering ;-)

Hi Kathy, so dry isnt it, I've had the sprinkler on today but it just flattens the plants. Yes, the black night's there in all its glory, thanks to you.
Top left is your Nepeta, the lush leaves are your hollyhock Antwerp and behind the delphinium are your Cephalophora.

Oh crikey never noticed them all, well done :-) wonder what colour the hollyhocks will be I've had lots of self sown ones this year, some really lovely colours.

I've really appreciated your seeds Kathy and I'm pleased you like the end result. I wonder if the hollyhocks will have chance to flower this year? I do hope so, of course I'll let you know what colour they are and I'm so pleased they are perennials.
