Thanks for all your comments. My garden is my Utopia, it is very secluded as well, every waking hour in the summer I spend there.

I can't suggest any drought tollerant plants as I am not familiar with what would grow in your area. What about native plants. Do you have a nursery nearby they may be able to suggest something but you have probably already checked that out.
