What a Beautiful Place to Wine&Dine Bernieh :)

Actually Jacque we do wine and dine a bit in the courtyard - one of life's great pleasures.

Yes Marguerite the cycad is fantastic - there's another one on the other side of the courtyard and they both flowered last year. The perfume started off smelling quite nice then it turned into something that smelt rather like a dead creature! Not nice, we kept looking for a dead cane toad or something.

Beautiful Courtyard Bernieh.

Hi Marguerite - yeah we do get mozzies. Usually there's only the odd few that annoy you unless it's been raining for a few days I have actually found that there are fewer mozzies out here up in the hills than there were when we lived in the suburbs.

Yes this is our fantastic alfresco dining area - it's brilliant in the summertime, well anytime of year really. We've had some long breakfasts, lunches and dinners out there!

It is a great space Sanbaz - and right now as the temperatures rise (today it hit 33 degrees C) it's a cool spot to sit in as the evening draws in.

of course its your summer isnt it, its getting pretty cold here now, autumn leaves are falling and cold nights, enjoy your summer bernieh :o)

Thanks Sanbaz - just catching up, sorry I missed your last comment ... but it was getting late and I toddled off to the land of nod. It's almost summer here ... doesn't officially begin until December, but it's definitely summer weather right now - except the humidity levels are still bearable. I don't know about enjoying summers ... I think I'm turning into a grumpy old woman now because I catch myself complaining for most of the summer about the heat and the humidity. Ah well - the air-conditioning will be going on soon!

no probs when your tired you just have to go to bed, im the same, as for hot weather think your right as we get older its harder to cope with humidity and heat, i use to love the hot weather but now im happy with sun a nd a nice breeze, not to hot :o) drains your energy doesnt it

16 Oct, 2009

It sure does Sanbaz - the heat and humidity really does take a toll on your energy levels. I just don't achieve half as much during summer - everything's hot to the touch, you're sweaty most of the day and you can feel the sun piercing your skin. I'm amazed that the plants can come through it - even the soil is hot.
