Codiaeum variegatum - Croton

Codiaeum variegatum - Croton (Codiaeum variegatum - Croton)

My 4ft/1.3m tall Croton has been making a good come back this winter after last summer's major, major bug infestation. Virtually all leaves had to come off because it was so infested with some kind of mite. It should start growing faster now that we're in spring. Photo taken April 14, 2011.

Sixpence:

Crotons are famous for their very variegated leaves.

I need to apply doses of systemic pesticide to this plant to control the mites...or they'll take over again. :>)

Palmate:

LOL! Thanks! I'm hoping by summer this plant will look as good as it did before the major mite infestation!
