A lady friend let me take lots of cuttings, i took new growth from her hydrangea autumn past...placed about 5 or 6 round the edge of a pot of cuttings compost with plenty of grit added...I put a sandwich bag over the top and secured with a rubber band and placed them in my sun room out of direct sunshine.....i dont think they like too much heat either, maybe a cold-frame would work.....I kept an eye on them, moist but not too wet and they all rooted...then potted them up individually.......hope that helps...:>)

Thanks Motinot, I used new growth but wrong compost and no bag. I will wait until this Autumn before grabbing some more from my neighbours plant.....
