Buffetted by the wind and rain! I'm wondering whether to bother with dahlias next year.. A lot of effort for not much result here!

Anget, I have just posted a blog re. keeping or getting rid of my greenhouse as I found seed sowing, pricking out, potting on just too much of a faff this Spring. I have taken half of my plastic pots and seed trays to a GC for other gardeners to make use of. I couldn't bring myself to be without some though . . . :o)

It’s a beauty though, Ange! I just love the depth of colour..those colour hues are gorgeous!
I know what you mean about pots..hard work to maintain aren’t they. I also say I’ll reduce my pot numbers every year…mmm..never do!

Most of my potted dahlias have been flattened by the wind and rain since yesterday, Paul. Most will be gone by the end of next week, I've decided! This is one I'll keep.

Ladies: I shall probably keep the ones I bought, but will ditch the ones I grew from seed. If I had space in the borders I would leave them in the soil.
I've also decided not to bother with tulips in pots next season. I'm trying to cut down the numbers of pots I have to look after.
