I hope it will get to about 3 ft by late season. at the moment its only 18 ". I am surprised it has flowered so early but i did start it off in a pot in the greenhouse.

Thanks Seaburngirl.
Could you leave it out overwinter or do you always take it into the greenhouse to overwinter ?

sometimes i lift them and other times i just give them a deep mulch. as this is a new one for me i probably lift it after the first frosts. i often put them in big pots and then sink the pot into the ground up to the rim. makes lifting them so easy.

it really is amazing the amount of energy it must use to get to this stage, do they flower for long?
