The people in this picture give you a sense of the scale and let you see that the delphiniums are easily seven feet high - sheltered wonderfully by the wall and the shrubs, growing through mesh as a support. the property is managed by the National Trust for Scotland who are supposed to be organic, so I'm not sure how they keep the slugs at bay.

They had delphs like this in the trials fields at RHS Wisley last year, there look even more here!
