Bleeding Heart

Bleeding Heart (Dicentra spectabilis (Bleeding heart))

I put in this bleeding heart last year and got bloom through the summer. This year a late return, but lots of things did that and just these three flowers. It is 3ft tall, but just three flowers. I must amend it with something next year. And I'm hoping the surrounding new plants will be large and provide it more protection from exposure.

I googled just to refresh the latin name and everything says once Dicentra now Lamprocapnos. I was very surprised.

Doesn't sound as nice as Dicentra Spectabilis, does it? Think we should stick to 'Bleeding Hearts' ! ;)
