Golden Male Fern ( 5ft high )

I've been browsing through the fern photos to see if I can find the most common fern that grew on the small island where I grew up in B.C., Canada.

This one looks the closest....I did think we called them sword ferns...would that be an alternate name for them, Linda?

I like it in any case. It does grow large, judging by your description.
