Hi Pepperpot and Jacque. I got the idea originally from the local pre-school Nursery. When my daughter attended, a Forest Ranger came in with similar logs and they made the birdfood for them. I have since found it a great use for thick branches sawn off our older trees. I used a circular router bit on my electric drill to sink the hollows for the food. We also save the seeds from our sunflowers to help make the food. Have fun, Pepperpot!
