This is a fun section of my Beach/Stone Garden,Which i created, for my 8 year old son, to play and relax in....
Though All the family, get the pleasure of relaxing in the Beach/Stone garden,in the day and night.
I sculptured an ivy plant, into a Mermaid, using folded jam tart foil cases, to represent the mermaids scales upon her ivy tail.
I painted a wood effect, on the concrete gravel boards.
The seashells, which were collected, on our family holidays, in Wales, are scattered amongst the pebbles.
There are two fish wind socks, on fibre glass poles and some interesting plants ; Sea Holly : Eryngium planum,
' Blue fescue' ornamental grass, New Zealand Flax : Alison Blackman' and Black Bamboo : 'Phyllostachys nigra'( Which usually dies after flowering)... My Bamboo, was completely covered in flowers between autumn 2007 and Spring 2008 and is now looking very happy and healthy.
It has great foliage growth and no sign of dying.
Fatsia japonica, Bamboo Phyllostachys, Bronze Fennel.
The photograph was taken from my bedroom window,in September 2008 (a few days ago).
