i have just built this wall in my garden its purpose is two-fold to help protect the garden from the wind and attached trellises to help climbing plants grow up and over it. will be planting passifloras and clemitis against it in spring

its the wall with all the trellis work thats gone terra. I will take a pic when weather allows me to show what it is like now

This looks very useful, Islander.
I guess you really do have to think about protecting your plants from strong winds up in the Orkneys.
It will be interesting to see a photo in the spring when you first plant your climbers, and then again later on, when everything is in full flower.
