I havent seen these steps before, they are lovely - almost as nice as the ones going down to your stream :-)
Is the grass Stipa Gigantea Spritz? Its beautiful and on my wish list.

Yes, it certainly is! It needs plenty of space, but it's beautiful all year round.

There are two lots of steps, at each end of the top border, Dawn. Glad you like them!

Hi Spritz, is the Stipa easy to grow? It sounds like a 'must have'.
The steps are gorgeous, I love the stone you have around your garden.

Stunning area Spritz.....

Thanks, Motinot. :-)) Can't take the credit for most of the hard landscaping - we inherited it!

Dawn - yes, just a few things have to be done to the Stipa. I cut out the old flower stems in the spring, and also pull out the dead grass to tidy it up. I give it a feed then - b, f and b. Otherwise, nothing else than enjoy it!

Thank you Spritz, I'll make a note of what you've told me in readiness for when I get one.

That is just fabulous, Spritz - can I move in please?

29 Sep, 2009

Well, we have a spare bedroom - so - it depends on what you're prepared to pay for B&B???? LOL.

29 Sep, 2009

Think I might want to live in the garden, really...;-)))

29 Sep, 2009

No problem - there's a summer house!! I won't charge for that - you're welcome! LOL.

.....as long as you chase the badgers away, when they arrive to dig up the lawns....:-)))))) Do you know, last night the cheeky wotsits even went into the back garden outside the kitchen where Henry sleeps - and dug THAT lawn up - all without waking him up!

I think he is just a very sensible dog.

29 Sep, 2009

I agree - I've seen what damage a badger can do to a dog.

Now that's a thought, Toto/Bamboo! A nasty one, though. :-(( I'm just surprised he didn't bark at it/them!
