Do you lift them over winter, Sue...?

13 Aug, 2011

Hi Karen, No I don't lift.....These Gladis didn't do anything last year, so in Autumn I moved them to the spot where they are at the moment, to give them a chance...and covered them with Straw...I will move them into the main Garden this Autumn and do the same thing, cover with straw..
Have you got by any chance a French bulb suppliers name...I want to buy some more Gladis and other bulbs...haven't started looking on the net yet, just thought i'd ask...

I'm afraid I don't, Sue...but we have a large bulb/seed camion at the market every week...carries a huge stock!...sorry, it's that market again! lol!!! :)))

I've found one in France, but guess what they're closed for August, now there's a surprise...but they do attend the market in Chinon...according to their homepage...whether or not they will be there this coming Thursday, who knows...That's handy, we could do with something like that a bit closer to us....

Never!! Closed for August...in France!!! lol!!!!
(Even the restaurants close here, in the peak of the tourist season!!)
Is Chinon your nearest market town, Sue?...I think that the market traders will just be gearing up to bulbs in the next month or so...

Loudun is our nearest, but Chinon is the biggest...I'll wait till September...then try again....
Will answer your mail later, am going to eat something..:o))
