Phormium 'Jester' & Carex 'Fishers Form' - i am really pleased with how this looks this time of year, right on edge of the patio, and as they are both evergreen i nice bit of winter interest.

i agree with you, you need something to brighten the garden up in these coming winter months.
the colors are fab,i am a lover of grasses myself,
try getting some Japaneses blood grass it is a stunning grass,starts green turning to bright red in the colder month, you will not be disappointed

I do agree Lightdiane, Japanese Blood grass is also on my wish list, - the ever increasing one! lol
