If it is a bromeliad it only flowers once and dies but gives a baby bromeliad to carry on.

I think they were selling them off cheap because they were getting past it , I don,t know anything about them Marquerite , I will have to look them up to see what to do with them , it,s odd the shop I bought it from had the same care instructions for every single plant whatever kind of plant it was ,
