Very unusual leaf shape for hydrangea. Can't wait to see the blooms as well!

This is one of the native hydrangeas that I think are so pretty. It has a white or creamy colored flower cluster which lasts a long time & does great in a vase. I planted 2 spreading hydrangeas this year; I think the species is H. arborescens. That one has a relatively small flower cluster but grows quickly, so I hope it'll spruce up the front of my house somewhat. I've seen it growing wild on the roadsides here.

Wonderful your use of natives. Preserves the plant, less money on the pocketbook and tougher than an import. :-)
