This is a small version of the popular Canna and is considered a weed because it is invasive. Popular legend has it that pirates and Indians used the seed in blunderbuss type guns and tests have shown it possible, hence Indian Shot.

I haven't seen any of the other types around here, and because it is so invasive, I am not going to import them. I imagine they would do very well and it would be a full time job pulling up the seedlings.
