sorry Ams, don't know how I managed to miss your comment... I love this plant... the dark green is sagina subulata...and it's called Irish Moss...the chartreuse is sagina subulata aurea, and it's known as Scottish Moss! I've been trying very hard to fill in a small pathway with pea gravel and mosses...both the regular mosses and these pretty things. won't know til next spring if I've succeeded or not!

Well here I am, it's "next spring" and I'm sad to say that the Irish Moss has shrunk, but delighted to see that the Scottish Moss is spreading really well and filling in. I think it has to do with light ...shade is dappled here in the back garden...andthe patch in the front garden is in heavier shade and needs weeding and some nice fresh compost...
