This is in our front garden and because of the hard landscaping is relatively easy to maintain. Planters make great features and soften the hard edges. We have Alyssum and Sempervivums growing on the garden wall.

This area was just concrete when we moved here and really unsightly, but some Patio slabs and gravel and planters can make all the difference can't it Bloomer?

Ours was just a sea of mud and clay,Flori...new build !
that was the easiest way of dealing with it...enough sand underneath to have my own beach...plus hardcore if you prefer a pebbly one :o)

The area looks so good now and must have been a great improvement to what was there before... :-)

Thank you all for posting! So many front gardens are made up of hard landscaping now, we just slabbed over the existing concrete which was pretty awful Rich, and instantly it was transformed..The front of the house is the first thing you see, and I am glad that this turned out so well..The renovating that we did on our porch and pots has really freshened up this area, plus we added some fresh gravel and even that made a difference. It wasn't bad either as you could buy 2 bags for £4.99 each and get a third bag free! How I love a bargain..\0/x

I love this Flori, do you know which heuchera it is with the green man? It looks lovely, a little like my Sugar Plum. There are so many wonderful ones now aren't there and many looking alike:-)

Thank you Rich, I love a bargain too my friend..I really appreciate you looking back in on me..\0/x
Sorry Ba, another lost label, but if I should remember it, I will PM you to let you know. I don't think it is Sugar Plum as the name is not familiar to me.. I know that this Heuchera is not as hardy as some of them, so keeping it protected by the wall helps it survive. It has been here through a few Winters now, so it must be pretty tough..lol It is a gorgeous colour though..\0/x

It is a gorgeous colour, and I am a great fan of gravel in front gardens. Since I did mine, I've hardly had to touch it at all and it always looks smart. Your planter with Heuchs reminds me of DottyDaisy's. :)

Hi Karen! Yes, it really is pretty low maintenance, and really does look smart out there now..LOL, think I may have pinched the idea from Dotty about the Heuchera in the urn without realising it..Great minds think alike my friend..Great to see you Karen..\0/x
