Lupin...Frosted leaves..flower is ok!!!

Amazing ..... but why are your lupins in flower and mine are long gone :-(

I dont know Louise...I have a yellow one in the back garden and it has lots of buds on...the leaves are frosted but the buds are still ok?....strange.....

I too have a yelloow one in flower, in fact it has more flowers on it now than it had in the summer, strange, I cut it right back and it has gone mad now.
Can only think that it is the rain and damp that has brought it on after all the dry days we had in the summer. The flowers also seem to be lasting much much longer than they did when the sun was shining.

They obviously love the moisture in the ground Olive/....I thought the frost would have killed off the flower...:>)

It is in a sheltered spot in the front garden (south facing) so it obviously likes that place, I am pleased with it.
