Club Moss (Lycopodium annotinum)

Club Moss (Lycopodium annotinum)

This is the more familiar upright club moss. Seen with both flowering and non-flowering heads. It sends out 'fingers' that spread it across the forest floor.

I've always been fascinated by clubmosses.

That is nice - reminds me of an aquarium plant with the tall stalks.

Thanks. :-) This is the tallest and biggest of all that I know. It could take over a garden patch quickly and easily. I do find them very beautiful and would welcome it. With all my grass, I get just the more standard green mosses. This enjoys spreads of moss where it can stretch up to open sun.
