The courier delivered my latest rose two weeks ago & I am patiently waiting to plant it. Called the Hayley Westenra Rose, it is named after a lovely young NZ woman who over the past few years has become internationally-acclaimed for her beautiful opera voice. Mine now has several buds on it, so I will get it planted into the garden at the weekend & we should soon have some beautiful blooms to photograph.

Yes it is a fragrant rose. My OH believes that all roses 'simply must' be fragrant, so up to this point I have only chosen perfumed roses .... I told him jokingly the other day that we would soon have to put up a notice at the front of the house which said 'The Perfumed Garden' LOL
