I love it when nasturtiums grow up & around things...

They say nasturtiums thrive best in poor soil but I've found the opposite to be true...these have their feet in soil with compost added & the ones in soil that I haven't changed or fertilised all year are wimpy little specimens & all from the same seed grown on my bedroom window sill.

Every year I resolve to grow much more of the plants that I love & that do well...including these guys...but I grew them from seed instead of buying plants & they just didn't thrive except for this plant.
Things like snapdragons, million bells, lupins, sweet peas, cosmos, hollyhocks etc etc I've thought I'd got lots to look forward to & in the early summer when we had sun/rain, sun/rain for weeks everything looked so promising but in the aftermath of rain/wind, rain/wind all I'm left with is a washed out colour palette.
Sorry...rant over!

This one looks as though it's giving everything it's got. Great, eyecatching colour.
