I think this picture does a nice job showing the difference between Gold Dust (left) and Silveredge (right). Both are nice daphnes, Gold Dust grows much slower but does have brighter leaves. The little daphne in front is Daphne x whiteorum 'Kilmeston'

I had a hard time earlier in the season but it got better after the end of June. I've been using a mix of fine pine bark, pro-mix and perlite and it has been working great for most of my cuttings. If the mix isn't light the daphnes really don't like it, warmer temps definitely help too as long as it isn't too warm. Standard rooting powder works fine for a lot of daphnes but they root better for me with a stronger concentration and a couple fungicide sprays.

Will give it another try next year, have layered a few down recently, I know they will root but takes a while.

All looking so very healthy, I tried some Daphne cuttings again this year but no luck. With warmer temperatures here this year I thought I may have had a better chance.
