Looking down the slope early summer

I trim back all the flowering plants. Most of them have nice leaf forms over winter. There are some large rocks which I had cemented in as foot holds to make tidying up easier :-)

I noticed the stones. Great idea to cement them in. I put huge pieces in my rockery of heather but they have almost disappeared

Lovely garden. I to try new plants every year and the ones that go through the next winter OK, are the new plants to put in the next year. It's all trial by error for me. Beginning to finally figure out what I can grow in my area of the mountains, in the shade.

clever planting on this steep slope. Do you have to cut all the growth at the end of each season.
