Well worth the planning Khayla. We've replanned (I cannt acually say designed) our garden about three times in twenty years. Have done away with lawn.

Well having looked at the finished result (as of now!) I think you have a beautiful garden to be proud of.
I think gardens are an ongoing thing, so strictly speaking, never finished.
I love your example of topiary. Is it Yew? Looks so professional.

hi mad, I get told by my 82 year old aunt what my plants are and I keep forgetting their names except the easy one's, I don't really know what I am doing half the time ,I dont know what it is, I just keep cutting till it looks a nice shape and easy to reach.Love topiary though and would like to try something else.

What a good idea to write out on an old photograph what you have done to get your garden nicely set out. Or was it what you were thinking of doing?

That was my plan at the time and as usual you keep changing it as the years go by,when I put the garage up I thought it would take a good bit of the garden away ( silly me) so I just kept changing it each year.I will have to put the photo's on as it progressed.I have been on my own for 27 years so it was quite a challenge for me but well worth it.
