I thought you would like it! I have seen it growing quite a lot in Cuenca, Spain. One year the local council planted quite a few of these trees.
I know of some specimens that are 30-40 years old or more & 1 in particular, probably self-sown, that grows in the interior of a hairpin bend in the road that leads up from the new/modern city to the old city which flowered so prolifically that the branches were bent down to the ground.
The last time we were in Cuenca, for my mother-in-law's funeral, over 2 years ago, I noticed that it had been pruned back drastically. I hope it has survived.
